Tree Nursery Establishment and Management

To ensure sustainability of tree planting efforts, we support the establishment of tree nurseries in schools and communities. These nurseries act as both learning centers and sources of seedlings. In a nutshell, this programme includes the following interventions:

Establishing tree nurseries in partner schools and communities
Training youth on seed collection and propagation techniques
Supporting nursery management and maintenance
Producing and distributing quality seedlings
Promoting entrepreneurship through seedling production
Ensuring a sustainable supply of trees for planting

Meet Our Tree Nursery Team

The individuals below form the dedicated Tree Nursery Team of Mpenda Mazingira Initiative.

They are responsible for establishing and managing our tree nurseries, training community members and young people on tree propagation and care, maintaining healthy seedlings, and promoting tree growing within our communities. Through their commitment and expertise, they help ensure that every seedling has the opportunity to grow into a tree that benefits people, wildlife, and the environment.
