Geoffrey – Programs and Community Projects Lead
Geoffrey plays a central role in coordinating and implementing community-led environmental programs at Mpenda Mazingira Initiative (MMI). He oversees the strategic implementation of conservation initiatives that focus on restoring ecosystems, empowering youth, and strengthening community engagement in environmental stewardship.
With a strong commitment to community service and sustainable development, Geoffrey works closely with schools, youth groups, and local residents to ensure that conservation activities create lasting impact. His work includes supporting reforestation efforts, coordinating tree planting initiatives, and guiding youth training programs that equip young people with practical knowledge in environmental conservation.
Geoffrey believes that lasting environmental change begins with community involvement and education. Through his leadership, young people are encouraged to take active roles in climate action, learning skills such as tree nursery management, environmental awareness, and sustainable land practices. His ability to connect environmental ideas with practical community action has helped many young people develop a deeper understanding of their role in protecting nature.
Driven by a strong sense of responsibility and service, Geoffrey continues to inspire communities to take ownership of conservation efforts while helping MMI expand its impact in environmental restoration and youth empowerment.
