Building Community Awareness: CBO Launches Its First HIV Sensitization Outreach in Umoja Settlement
Mpenda Mazingira Youth Initiative CBO held its first HIV awareness outreach on 1st December at Ngong Umoja Social Hall within Umoja Settlement. The engagement brought together community members for an open and informative session focused on improving understanding of HIV prevention and the importance of regular testing.
The activity aimed to empower residents with accurate health information and encourage early testing as a key step toward prevention, care, and responsible living. It also created a safe space for dialogue, helping to address stigma and misconceptions surrounding HIV in the community.
