Championing Social Justice, Participation in the 16 Days of Activism at Kajiado Grounds
We joined the national and county government in marking the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence at Kajiado Grounds. This significant event brought together a wide array of diverse stakeholders, including community leaders, youth groups, civil society organizations, and government representatives who are all committed to unequivocally ending gender-based violence and promoting the creation of safer and more inclusive communities for everyone. The atmosphere was electric with purpose and dedication.
The engagement focused intensely on raising awareness, strengthening advocacy, and encouraging a deep sense of community responsibility in addressing the ongoing issues of gender-based violence and protecting fundamental human rights. Through lively and interactive discussions, alongside public sensitization sessions, participants were ardently encouraged to express their voice against all forms of violence, to support survivors with compassion, and to promote dignity, equality, and respect within society as a whole.
The event also provided an essential and important platform for learning and collaboration, allowing different organizations and community actors to come together to share invaluable experiences and strengthen collective efforts towards creating safer environments for women, children, and the most vulnerable members of the community.
