Championing Social Justice, Participation in the 16 Days of Activism at Kajiado Grounds

We joined the national and county government in marking the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence at Kajiado Grounds. The event brought together diverse stakeholders, community leaders, youth groups, civil society organizations, and government representatives committed to ending gender-based violence and promoting safer and more inclusive communities.

The engagement focused on raising awareness, strengthening advocacy, and encouraging community responsibility in addressing gender-based violence and protecting human rights. Through interactive discussions and public sensitization sessions, participants were encouraged to speak against all forms of violence, support survivors, and promote dignity, equality, and respect within society.

The event also provided an important platform for learning and collaboration, allowing different organizations and community actors to share experiences and strengthen collective efforts toward creating safer environments for women, children, and vulnerable members of the community.

Key highlights of the engagement included:

  • Participation in awareness campaigns against gender-based violence

  • Community engagement on human rights, protection, and reporting mechanisms

  • Support for national and county advocacy efforts on gender equality and safety

  • Promotion of dignity, respect, and inclusion within communities

This activity broadened the organization’s impact beyond environmental work, reinforcing its role in social awareness and community empowerment.
