Grace – Executive Director

Grace serves as the Executive Director of Mpenda Mazingira Initiative (MMI), where she leads the organization’s vision of building environmentally responsible communities through conservation, education, and youth empowerment. With a strong passion for sustainable development, Grace has dedicated her time and leadership to creating opportunities for young people and local communities to actively participate in protecting and restoring the environment.

At MMI, she oversees programs focused on environmental education, tree growing, and community-based climate action. Grace works closely with schools, youth groups, and community leaders to promote practical environmental solutions such as tree nurseries, kitchen gardens, and conservation awareness. Her leadership has helped strengthen partnerships with schools and local communities, ensuring that young people gain knowledge and skills that empower them to become responsible stewards of the environment.
